The Madison County Medical Society (MCMS) is a non-profit organization composed of dedicated physicians and staff committed to making Huntsville and Madison County a healthier community.
As the voice, advocate, and resource for physicians in Madison County, MCMS is dedicated to positively shaping the environment in which you practice medicine.
Our members recognize that they are the primary advocates for their patients, championing both access to care and the quality of that care. MCMS serves as a direct liaison between our members and their patients, colleagues, the broader community, and the Medical Association of the State of Alabama (MASA).
Organized medicine has proven that there is strength in numbers. MASA includes more than 6,000 members statewide, with over 850 physicians from Madison County. Through MCMS, local physicians have a voice in shaping healthcare policy via representation on the State Board of Censors and the MASA House of Delegates.
The Society office acts as a central resource hub for our members, offering guidance, information, and support. We maintain an up-to-date physician database, including details about retired or non-practicing physicians, to ensure continued access to essential information for colleagues and patients.
