The Madison County Medical Society is a non-profit organization composed of physicians and staff who are dedicated to making Huntsville and Madison County a healthier community .
As the voice, advocate, and resource of the Madison County physician we are committed to positively influencing the environment in which you practice medicine.
Our members believe that they are the primary advocates for their patients in terms of both access to care and quality of care. The Society is our member’s direct liaison between their patients, their colleagues, the community, and the Medical Association of the State of Alabama (MASA.)
Organized medicine has consistently demonstrated that there is power in numbers. MASA numbers over 6000 members, which includes over 650 physicians from Madison County. As a member, our physicians are afforded direct input regarding policies that affect their practices, through the county society’s representatives on the State Board of Censors and in the MASA House of Delegates.
The Society office is our member’s resource center; we provide answers! Our staff strives to serve the community and our physicians. We keep an up to date physician database including information on physicians who are no longer practicing so that their colleagues and their patients have access to necessary information.
