In addition to MCMA's Signature Project, the Alliance also supports other community needs such as: participating in the Liz Hurley Ribbon Run in search of a cure for breast cancer; providing assistance to 305 8th Street--the only North Alabama private, nonprofit organization that provides a home to individuals with mental and/or physical conditions such as mental retardation, mental illness, brain injury, and Cerebral Palsy; operate the misting tent and distribute anti-smoking literature, "Tar Wars", at Panoply; and of course, help raise funds through local fundraising and the AMA Foundation to provide continuing education scholarships for medical and nursing students in Madison County.
